Records

First of all, a folder is needed that can hold the records of the final projects and, if applicable, the supervisors. If the projects plugin is already used in the appearance, the folder created for this purpose can also be used.

Theses

To create a new thesis, click on the plus in the upper area in the list view of your directory. In the following view, select "Thesis" and fill out the input mask that appears. If final theses have already been created, you can click on the plus within the list and go directly to the input mask.

Create a new thesis

Title The title of the thesis is a required field.

Summary A short summary of the thesis can be displayed in the listing below the title.

Link to thesis For example, a PDF of the thesis can be linked here.

Author In order to also enable the recording of theses to be assigned, the specification of an author is optional.

Type of thesis You can choose between Bachelor, Master, Diploma and Dissertation.

Status This field indicates whether the work is open, in progress, or completed.

Year of completion This field is only displayed if the work has been completed. Then it is a mandatory field.

Supervisor Persons can be selected who were previously created as records.

Specifying supervisors makes it possible to create lists of theses that were supervised by a selected person (for example, on a staff page). In addition, the supervisors can be displayed in the list view.

If the Projects plugin is used, the employees already created there can also be used as supervisors for final theses.

To create collaborators, click on the plus in the upper area in the list view of your folder. In the following view, select "Employees" and fill in the input mask that appears. If employees have already been created, they can click on the plus within the list to go directly to the input mask.

Create a new employee

Name The name of the employee is a mandatory field and must always be filled in.

Website link The employee's website can be linked here. If the person is not employed at TU Dortmund University, you can also link to an external site.
