Backend Layouts

To keep a consistent image and make it easier for you, the system provides a certain number of templates for pages - the backend layouts.

Presets

When you receive your website, there are already presets for the home page and for the other pages.

The start page has a special layout, since the margin column is omitted here. In addition, there are other special features in the structure of the start page, but they do not affect the backend layout.

For all other pages, the recommended variant "Subnavigation left, 4 rows of content" is preset. This also applies to all subpages, unless you make different settings.

Presets Backend Layout

Each page is already assigned a backend layout directly after their creation.

Placement of Content Elements

In addition to choosing the backend layout, you can also determine the appearance of the page by placing the content elements: If you leave the first row of the backend layout blank and place the first content element only in row 2, you will get a kind of a gray frame. This style was chosen, for example, in the templates for the employee detail pages.

Change Backend Layout Selection

First, click the pencil to edit the page properties.

The selection of the corresponding backend layout is done in the "Appearance" tab. Here you can choose whether you want to change the backend layout only for this specific page (left side) or also for all subpages of this page (right side).
