Undoing changes
With the TYPO3 functions "Recycle Bin" and "History" you can undo changes to content and pages. Deleted pages can also be restored.
In the following we refer to the video documentation of the renowned TYPO3 service provider "jweiland.net". The functions "Recycle Bin" and "History" are shown using a standardized TYPO3 installation. The user interface and the available modules therefore differ from the TYPO3 installation at TU Dortmund University.
The functions documented in the videos are fully included in our TYPO3 installation and can be used by the roles "Webadmin", "Editor Plus" and "Editor".
Restore deleted elements
If an element is deleted in TYPO3, it is first stored in the recycle bin and can be restored if necessary. In the following video documentation you will learn how the recycle bin works.
Undoing changes
Changes to content elements, pages, news and events can be tracked and undone in TYPO3 using the "History" function. It is possible to undo either individual changes or entire change histories.
Important: When using this function, proceed with caution. Repeated corrections to entire change processes can make it difficult or even impossible to restore the original status of a data record.
